Schiavello Furniture has completed a major refresh of its head office showroom in Tullamarine, creating a dynamic workplace environment that showcases the latest product innovations while demonstrating contemporary ways of working.

Designed by Nick Tennant, Design Manager at Schiavello Furniture, the updated showroom has been configured as a fully functioning workplace, allowing visitors to experience products in context and understand how different settings support collaboration, focus and flexibility.

“The vision was to create a refreshed environment that showcases our most recently released products within a genuine working setting,” says Tennant. “I wanted visitors to be able to take in the showroom from the reception desk, with key displays positioned to immediately engage them and encourage conversation.”

The showroom has been carefully zoned, with collaborative front-of-house settings positioned alongside the reception area and retreat spaces located further within the floorplate. Larger meeting and focus room settings have been placed towards the rear to preserve sightlines while creating a strong visual backdrop.

Technology-enabled workspaces play a central role in the design. Agile Table serves as an anchor point for workplace technology discussions, supported by adjacent collaboration and retreat settings that demonstrate how employees can seamlessly move between different activities throughout the day.

The interior palette draws heavily from Schiavello’s Urban collection from ColourLab Volume 4, featuring rich, darker tones that complement the building’s warm architectural finishes. Accents from the Organic palette introduce texture and softness throughout the space.

Reflecting current workplace trends, the showroom balances collaborative and retreat-style settings for both teams and individuals while highlighting integrated workplace technology solutions. “Technology continues to drive workplace innovation, and it was important that our solutions were presented as a holistic ecosystem,” Tennant explains.

Among Tennant’s favourite features is the Neo Surround workstation display, framed by Vertical Garden 3 and Totem Planters. “The combination of softened forms, natural textures, biophilic elements and intuitive technology creates an elegant and intelligent workplace setting,” he says.

Ultimately, Tennant hopes visitors leave with a lasting impression of Schiavello’s human-centred approach to design. “I’d like people to feel welcomed and engaged, and to see that the breadth of our products, materials and manufacturing capabilities demonstrates our belief that anything is possible.”
